Salomé Quartet
Described as ‘strikingly intelligent and expressive’ by The Strad, the London-based Salomé Quartet are one of the UK’s most exciting young string quartets, known for their heartfelt interpretations and electric communication.
They have performed at leading venues including Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, Cadogan Hall and Stauffer Centre, and appear regularly at festivals and concert series across the UK and abroad.
The quartet co-created and performed in the theatre production Dr Semmelweis, centred around Death and the Maiden, appearing on stage as an integral part of the multidisciplinary production. They performed in two sold-out runs (London West End 2023 & Bristol Old Vic 2022), with the show receiving multiple five-star reviews.
They maintain a long-standing collaboration with the acclaimed composer John Woolrich, recording several of his works and performing programmes curated by him nationwide.
The quartet have been selected as Britten Pears Young Artists and are recipients of the Tunnell Trust Award.
